St. Michael's Church Cornhill

Recital on the famous historic organ which has this year been superbly restored by Nicholsons. Part of this organ dates from 1684, when Henry Purcell gave the opening recital.  Furthermore, the composer William Boyce was organist here for 32 years, the Royal College of Organists was founded here, and the recitalist and composer Harold Darke directed the music here for 50 years. 

A very special programme of events featuring the instrument is planned for the autumn, with organists including Dame Gillian Weir, Dr Francis Jackson, Simon Preston, Hannah Parry-Ridout, Clive Driskill-Smith, Sarah Baldock, Nathan Laube, Simon Johnson and Gregory Drott.
