Graduation from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia!

05/22/2009

It seems like only yesterday I received my acceptance letter to study at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, and it is hard to imagine that my time as a student there has come to an end.  The Graduation Ceremony was full of surprises, chief among them being named recipient of Curtis' two highest honors, the Joan Hutton Landis Award for Excellence in Academics, and the Edward Aldwell Award for Excellence in Musical Studies.  Having studied with the brilliant and beloved Edward Aldwell in the last year of his life, I am completely humbled and frankly overwhelmed by this poignant punctuation bestowed on my five years of study at the Curtis Institute.  I am so grateful to all of Curtis' exceptional professors, dedicated staff and administration, and so proud of all of my colleagues and friends with whom I shared my Curtis experience!
